Changes…

I am going to start updating more about my current projects and including images that have inspired the concepts and talk more about my design process. I want this to be a sort of digital portfolio as well as a digital scrap/idea book.

The project we have just been given is a 30ft by 60ft building shell that is 3 floors tall. The client is an art enthusiast who is also environmentally conscious. Our challenge is to include as many sustainable materials and building processes as possible, energy star appliances, bamboo flooring, etc. The building must also be ADA accessible. Somewhere within the building we must include a gallery to display the clients art collection.

For this project I have chosen Tamara de Lempicka as my artist inspiration. I am excited to use her Art Deco style in this condo space. I want to draw heavily on the form of her paintings, neat, precise, structured, vibrant and powerful. I hope to update often with my progress but if time will not permit I will at least post the completed project.
